Santa's List #2: A Scholarship to Japan

Tomorrow's the first day of December! I can't believe I've neglected this journal for so long. I didn't even get to greet Oh-chan a Happy Three-Oh! Since tomorrow's the first day of the last month of 2010, I need to write something before November ends. So I'll continue my Santa's List.
Wish #2: I really really want to go to Japan as a student. I could always save up money and go there as a tourist but I want to go to Japan as a scholar, someone a scholarship-giving body has deemed worthy of being in Japan to study.
I just submitted my application requirements for the graduate program of my alma mater. I can't believe I am willing to spend more sleepless months writing papers and doing experiments and observations and researching again. But if I want to become a clinical psychologist, I better get used to eating psychological reports for breakfast.
Since I am focused on getting a masters degree in Psychology (and someday, a PhD as well), I figured if I'm going to Japan, I might as well go as a student of Psychology on a scholarship, to broaden my knowledge in the field. I'm hitting two birds with one stone!
And since I am dreaming, I may as well dream big. My ultimate dream is to be admitted to Keio University. They offer masters degrees in psychology (as well as a PhD's) under the Graduate School of Human Relations. Wahhh! I'm such a fangirl. Maybe I can study fangirling as a phenomenon...but then again, I'm sure there are already tons of studies about that.
But to be honest, I just want to go to Japan. As a grad student, a language student, or a tourist for a week, it doesn't matter. I just want to be able to breathe the same air my fandoms breathe.
