Yey! Ensemble (part 2)

(I have to prepare my post-encounter message so I'll make this as short as possible)

So Tita Vi woke us up at 6 am to have our quiet times. It was cold in the morning and I couldn't stop sneezing and my nose was running like a leaky faucet. I felt absolutely sick but I still got up and read and had my QT. Tita gave me biogesic and it helped a bit. We had breakfast and then we started the team building activity:
* sharing about our QT (that was supposed to be for 30 mins only. Not possible when you have 11 people)
* short bible quiz about Joshua (Trish's team won that)
* lunch (kuya edgar's adobo is soooooo good)

* Time capsule contents:

          - a prayer about our commitment on discipleship

          - how we see ourselves and the members of ensemble 10 years from now

          - a letter to our future son or daughter (with their name/s)

          - a list of things we hope to have 10 years from now

 

when I heard that we were doing a time capsule, I was really excited, I actually planned to write a letter to each member. It was harder than I thought. I only got to write ate Karen one and myself. It wasn't that I didn't have time to write the letters, its that I don't know what to write. But I will still write them letters since the time capsule is still open (to make way for ate jessa and jon). 

 

I wrote in my prayer, that I was committing my time to the Lord and that I would be praying for a cell group and my disciples-to be. It's really important to recall these things every now and then. Sorry Lord for breaking my commitment again. Lord please help me to follow through. Please.

 

I named my daughter Mayumi (because it was a name that sounded Japanese and Filipino at the same time). I just told her how blessed I am because of her and how much I love her. I wrote really superficial things in the "wish list, " things like a walk-i closet, a katana, a japanese styled home. Although I did include an MA degree and a scholarship to Japan.

 

10 years is a loooong time. I can't even imagine what I'll be doing next year. I could only hope that things would stay more or less the same.
 

Oh and Tita Vibay sent us two boxes of pizza to munch on while we wrote our time capsule thingies. I felt so full. Pizza is good. Then we danced a Hebrew blessing dance. It was fun. I love being in Ensemble. And I can't wait to spend the next ten years learning and growing with them.
