catatonic_17I realized I am not good at documenting milestones and important dates in my life. That's why when I was reviewing 2012, I was surprised that so many unbelievable things happened, so many blessings and privileges for growth. I feel like I've been spoiled by God again. So here is my random list of blessings and highlights for my 2012:
Ministry:
* ensemble team buildings. I don't think I missed any. Yey! (quarterly)
* meeting Norlene. I have a cell person! (November)
* finishing SOL 2 (with flying colors)--despite my class schedule and not having a cell group.(August?)
* speaking/teaching at SOL 1. Despite the fact that I still had one last class meeting with Ma'am Bolet. (October)
* coordinating for the Youth Encounter (April). This was a major "WEH? Di nga?" moment for me. When Tita Jet nonchalantly asked me, "May gagawin ka ba?" then asked me if I could coordinate the YE, I immediately said "YES." Didn't even say, "Sige po, I'll pray about it." Yes kaagad. So not me.
* speaking at Life Extreme (April). A week after the Young Women's Encounter, I received a call, asking if I could speak at LifeX. Again, I immediately said "YES"--no hesitations, no "I'll think about it." It's crazy, really.
* Coordinating for next year's Women's Encounter. Another call, another immediate Yes. Same titanic responsibility. But same Awesome God.
* DVBS (May). I got to be closer to Rovy's EJ (before he had to leave for Saudi) and handled younger kids (Jhad among them). Still the main teacher.
* PBS Pinoy Bible Translation Workshop. Though I was not selected to be part of the translating team ( quite a big blow for me), I was able to gain much from the experience. Hope I'll be able to translate the Bible one day.
Acads/School:
* I got CS for the first sem! (GWA: 1.33) Thank you Lord!
* I got to work with Aoie again, my favorite group mate ever! Sadly, that will be the last time since she decided to pursue Law instead of Psych.
* Extramural Jap classes! Sooooo happy I was able to study Japanese again. No matter how tired I was, I always absorbed EVERYTHING taught in class. I enjoyed doing my homeworks and studying for quizzes and stuff. I want to do it again!
* went to Botolan, Zambales for class. Too bad we never followed through with our initial plans of going back there and helping them out ala Urabayan.
* Passed Psychological Interview class (that was so nerve-wracking. Thank God He was doing the talking that time).
* Enrolled in Psychospiritual Psychotherapy. *excited*
* UP Buklod Isip wins the University Carolfest! Waaaaahhhh~
Fandom:
* I had so many new fandoms this year: KinKi Kids, Domoto Koichi, Daito Shunsuke, Tanihara Shosuke-sama, Wang Lee Hom, Kaneshiro Takeshi. Oh my poor hard drive!
* Watched/DLed awesome dramas/movies: Akumu chan (Gackt and Kitagawa Keiko), Arang and the Magistrate (Shin Min Ah), Five Fingers (Joo Ji Hoon's drama comeback), Remote (Koichi sama and Fuka-kyon), NazoDi SP (Sho and Keiko), Kaneshiro Takeshi's films, King 2 Hearts (Lee Sung Gi), Nisennen no Koi (Takeshi and Nakayama Miho;my favorite kind of love story), Tenshi no Koi (Shosuke sama and Sasaki Nozomi), Fujoshi Kanojo (Daito Shunsuke and Matsumoto Wakana; the sweetest boyfriend ever!)...and the list goes on.
* got to watch a couple of anime series after the longest time: Boku X Inu SS (loved the manga, loved the anime version too~) and Bungaku Shoujo (weird yet still entertaining). Got to read updates on Alyosha, Yandere Kanojo, Private Actress, BokuInu (T^T), and Kimi ga Uso wo Tsuita.
* Speaking of hard drives, I finally got a 1 Terabyte! Wahhhh~ Wish finally fulfilled!
* Another wish fulfilled: Local screening of Samurai X live action movie. Takeru Sato as Kenshin was superb! (Petitions do work!)
And a cherry on top of my cake, I got to watch it with Kuya Jedi and his LB friend. Had dinner with them afterwards.
* ARASHI ARaFes DVD subbed rips! PopCorn Album! Finding their Love Love Aishiteru episodes (KinKi Kids X Arashi FTW!)
* Got to go on Lee Min Ho's fan meet at Araneta Center. Not a fan, but he is worthy of fangirling.
* I've found my fashion peg! Laureen Uy is my stylespiration!
* meeting a fellow arashi fangirl within Buklod Isip (I can finally fangirl on facebook and be able to tag people). Bea Lee~ Though we don't connect in real life. (i'm too shy, I guess).
Lurve (?!)
* being able to do a favor for, meeting and "interviewing" my psych crushie.<3 And receiving butterscotch brownies from him. <3
* Domoto Koichi Ouji-sama daisuki!
* Sir Ton said I was pretty. *swoon*
So did I really grow this 2012? Was my 2012 really "for the Lord's"? I would like to think so. I hope God agrees with my evaluation too.
