New Fandom alert!
It's been months since I last wrote in this journal. I wonder when I would have the time to actually do the one-tag-a-day thing challenge? Anyway, I have been wasting spending the past few days looking up anything I could dig up about a certain actor with the yummiest talking voice. I've been neglecting my school work because I've been watching the dramas he is in. So far, this is what I know about Mr. Handsome, Tanihara Shousuke-sama:
* He is married with 4 kids and a step-son. His 5th child was born last Feb.
* He is the original Domouji Tsukasa (1995 film adaptation of HanaDan).
* He is from Yokohama and he was scouted as a model when he was 18.
* Foe a year, he was on the cover of Men's Club Magazine every month (as the magazine's appointed main character).
* He is one of the hosts of Ousama no Brunch.
* He is good at cooking.
* He collects watches and teddy bears.
* He is a voice actor. (He has worked with Gackt and Kuriyama Chiaki on Dragon Age).
* He is 40 years old but he is still smoking hot.
I seriously have to find out more.I first saw him as the hot teacher-narrator in lovely complex. Then when I watch Tenshi no Koi (with the unbelievably adorable Sasaki Nozomu), I was hooked. Too bad he hardly has any drama where he is the lead. He is always the supporting character or the hot guy. Someone give him a leading role and stop giving idols all the limelight (sorry Arashi).
What got me hooked:
Of course he has a very very handsome face a great physique, but what really got me searching for all his dramas is his screen presence. He was amazing in Tenshi no Koi. I can't explain it very well, but his character lingered in my head after watching it. And even though there was an 18 year gap between him and Sasaki, they had amazing chemistry. I want to see him in more roles like this.
Another thing I like about him is how he is able to not take himself seriously. It's like he is not afraid to make fun of how handsome he is. His characters in Lovely Complex and Handsome Suit were really funny. I would definitely watch Handsome Suit to cheer myself up. I've yet to watch Deru Toko Demasho (with Horikita Maki), but if the synopsis I read is true, then I would definitely be laughing out loud very soon. He was hilarious in Mop Girl as well. His interaction with Kitagawa Keiko reminded me of Chiaki and Nodame, minus the romance. Plus, he speaks a different language every episode!

* Love Shuffle (a definite must watch. He plays a therapist!)
* Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso (with Ishihara Satomi)
* Nodame Cantabile movie 1 and 2 (he plays the conductor that became friends with Chiaki if my memory serves me right)
* The Tempest (with Nakama Yukie; he has a top knot <3)
* Hunter (with Yonekura Ryoko)
* Ranma 1/2 (He plays Dr. Tofu, Akane's love interest)
* Edison no Haha
* Watashitachi no Kyokasho (a serious drama for a change)
* Mioka (he plays as Yoshitaka Yuriko's doctor)
* Ryokiteki na Kanojo (Japan's adaptation korea's My Sassy Girl, he plays a supporting character)
* Tonkatsu (another supporting character)
So...this is pretty bad. I really have to study and do my homework and stuff but I find myself so preoccupied. Ahhhh...I have to put marathoning these on an indefinite hold so I can get on with my life. I suddenly can't wait for sem break.
